Online AI Role Playing Game

 

So I got bored with the AI pictures pretty quick. Now I’m back to writing.

Good news, bad news time.

The good news is I’ve been doing a little bit of writing again lately. The bad news is that I’m not working on stories to post here. Actually, that’s not entirely true - more on that later.

I’ve recently gotten into playing on InfiniteWorlds.app. It’s basically an online role playing site, where you RP opposite an AI. Kind of like a cross between "Choose your own adventure" and role play chat, but with an AI as your RP partner. I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the writing from the AIs and their ability to give a relevant story. There are obvious limitations, but it actually generates some decent stories, tailored to the details provided by the reader.

It's free to start, but with a limit of how much you can use it per day. Of course, you can pay for more “credits” to get more plays per day. Which sounds like a scam, but there’s actually an easy way to avoid paying money. You can share links to stories there, which they call “worlds”, or create your own worlds. If anyone plays on the site using your links or original worlds, you get bonus credits for every game turn they play. I’ve shared a few links on relevant sites and created two of my own worlds, and so far, I’ve had an easy time getting enough credits to play for free, as long as I don’t go nuts with it every day.

So I recommend trying the site out. It’s pretty cool, and has a lot of stuff that I think readers of this blog (all 3 or 4 of you) would enjoy. Hint: Always play in “storyteller” mode. That way, besides just playing your own character, you have the option to force the AI to respond how you want, or change its response if the first one it gave you isn’t to your liking.

Which brings me to the stuff I’ve been writing: The two worlds I’ve created and shared already, and more that I’m working on.

I’m into a variety of supernatural femdom topics, but I decided to stick with superheroines and villainesses for my first attempts, just because it’s easy. The AI already knows what that is, so I don’t have to explain the concept of my world. And I wanted something quick and easy that could be played how I want, but is flexible enough for other players to use it completely differently. So I went with the “You accidentally find out that someone you know is a superheroine” trope, and everyone who plays it can interact with her however they feel like. Yes, that means it’s NSFW.

I’m actually not entirely happy with how this turned out. I threw in the whole “Is she a superheroine or a supervillainess?” line just to be cute, and the AI decided to take that line from my basic idea description and turn the whole thing into a mystery story based on that.

Of course, I could have edited that out and just gone straightforward with you already knowing one way or the other. But I was curious about the programming behind the world creation system, so I messed around with it a little. And then decided I was doing a terrible job, because I’m too new to the system and didn’t plan out my ideas in advance. So then I ripped out all my terrible additions and just published it as pretty similar to how the AI originally created it, because I just didn’t feel like messing with it any more.

It’s playable, and you can probably have some fun with it, if you like the concept. Also, there may or may not be incest, depending on the player choices in game, because you can play as her son or one of his friends, and you can choose whether or not to go NSFW with it. But I think the mystery part, and having to convince her to trust you not to reveal her secret, would be a lot better if I spent time fixing it up, and I’m just not that into the concept. So I’ve already moved on and will probably never revisit this one.

Which brings up my second creation. Learning from my mistake, I decided to use the exact same trope, but without the mystery aspect of whether she’s a hero or villain:

This one’s a LOT more straightforward. I set up a basic scenario, basic personality, and you can take it any direction you want.

At first, I put all sorts of specific scenarios into it, based on how I wanted it to play out for myself. But then I realized that not everyone will share my tastes, so more of a “sandbox” approach might be best. I’m already working on a revision, though, which will make her a lot more dominating. When I’m done, I will NOT replace the original version – I’m planning to have both the original and “extra bratty” version live on the site at the same time, so other people can play whichever they prefer.
